  Dr. Joseph J. Lawless, O.D.

  Joseph J. Lawless, O.D. graduated with honors from Ferris State College of Optometry. He did his undergraduate studies at Central Michigan University where he was a biology major and a psychology minor. Since graduation, Dr. Lawless has completed extensive post- graduate training in the fields of visual processing and vision therapy. His focus is on complete family eye care, including premium quality frames and lenses, specialty contact lens fittings, vision therapy, and laser vision co-management. Children’s vision problems are a very important part of his clinical optometric practice. Dr. Lawless is the director of the Vision Improvement Program (V.I.P.) in New Baltimore. “One of my greatest pleasures is to see the excitement of a young patient who has just discovered the joy of reading, received their first ‘Great Job!’ on a piece of homework, or has finally had the pleasure of Mom or Dad sincerely saying: ‘I’m proud of you!” Mission Statement The purpose of our practice is to provide the highest possible quality and extent of Optometric services to every patient. It is equally important that each patient feels that they are being provided the best quality of care.
